Amor de Livros no CCJF

A exposição "Amor de Livros", que aconteceu pela primeira vez na Galeria da Lagoa na UniverCidade em setembro de 2011, vai estar novamente em cartaz no elegante Centro Cultural Justiça Federal (CCJF) no Centro do Rio. A exposição cresceu: terá peças inéditas, criadas especialmente para esta exposição, uma projeção da fotógrafa Mariana Leal Rodrigues de fotos dos livros objetos e o painel de desenhos da artista sobre páginas de cadernos ganhou uma tela onde poderão ser vistas mais imagens. A abertura será no dia 28 de fevereiro às 19h e a visitação é até o dia 01 de abril. Durante as visitas orientadas pela artista estarão à disposição aparelhos de audiodescrição para portadores de deficiência audiovisual. No dia 28 de março haverá uma oficina de encadernação gratuita aberta ao público. São apenas vinte vagas e para se inscrever ou obter informações escreva para educativo.ccjf@trf2.gov.br

The exhibition "Amor de Livros" (Lovely Books), held the first time in the Lagoa Gallery inside the UniverCidade University will be presented again in the elegant Centro Cultural Justiça Federal (CCJF) in the major public square in the centre of Rio known as Cinelandia. The exhibition has grown: there will be new pieces, created especially for this show, a projection on the wall of images of the pieces photographed by photographer Mariana Leal Rodrigues and the artist's drawings on sketchbooks now have a screen where more images can be seen. The opening will be on February 28th at 7:00 pm. Visiting hours: Tuesday - Sunday, from 12-07 pm until April 1st.
During the guided visits with the artist there will be audio description for visually impaired people. On March 28th there will be a free bookbinding workshop. Inscriptions and information please write to educativo.ccjf@trf2.gov.br

Blue Blackbook

Um Blackbook é um livro de rascunhos de graffiti e assinaturas- estudos e desenhos que um artista do graffiti costuma guardar e colecionar. O livro pode ter apenas trabalhos do próprio artista ou incluir desenhos e assinaturas de outros artistas e amigos. Grafiteiros gostam de levar seus blackbooks em eventos de grafite para que outros artistas desenhem e assinem neles e também para mostrar seu trabalho. Este livro já tem dono!

A Graffiti Blackbook is a book of graffiti sketches - drawings of graffiti tags and pieces that a graffiti artist keeps.The book may be a mixture of the artist's own work and that of their friends and fellow writers. Artists like to take their blackbook with them to graffiti events to get people to draw in them and to show their own work. This book has an owner already!

Oficina de Encadernação Artesanal

Durante a Oficina de Cadernos Flexíveis os participantes aprendem, passo a passo, como confeccionar três cadernos sem capa dura e sem o uso de cola. Cada caderno tem uma costura diferente. São simples, versáteis e exigem pouca experiência em encadernação. O material utilizado é fácil de encontrar e disponível para qualquer pessoa. Pequenos, mas charmosos, cabem na bolsa e no bolso; assim estão sempre por perto para registrar algum impulso criativo!Todo o material é fornecido e o investimento é de R$ 300,00. O espaço das oficinas fica na Tijuca, bem pertinho do metrô.

Buttonhole/ Ponto caseado

A beleza desta encadernação é a linha que fica aparente na lombada passando pela cabeça e pelo pé do livro.  A lombada também tem uma abertura que permite ver uma parte do miolo, revelando a beleza das páginas sem a necessidade de abrir o livro.
O ponto utilizado para "costurar" as páginas é o ponto caseado, que em inglês é chamado de "buttonhole". O ponto, além de dar firmeza, cria um efeito decorativo. A folha de guarda foi caligrafada por Claudio Gil.

The beauty of this binding is the wrapping in the spine at the head and tail of the book. The spine also has a center division that shows part of the text pages without opening the book.
The buttonhole stitch gives a locked stitch and also creates a decorative effect. The end paper was decorated by Claudio Gil.

Binding loose pages - Encadernação para folhas soltas

Adorei fazer este livro que permite trocar as páginas do livro a qualquer hora sem danificar sua estrutura. A lombada é feita com uma estrutura de concertina com dobradura formando bolsos para encaixar folhas soltas. Esta encadernação foi criada  nos anos 90 por Heidi Kyle durante uma tempestade de neve, por isso o nome Blizzard Book. Blizzard em inglês significa nevasca. As caligrafias da capa e da lombada do livro são do calígrafo e artista Claudio Gil.

I loved to make this book ! The pages can be moved or replaced without damaging the book structure. The spine of this book is made with a concertina fold structure that creates pockets that can be filled with loose pages.  This binding was created in the 90's by  Heidi Kyle during a snowstorm, that's why it's called Blizzard Book. The calligraphies of the cover and spine are from artist and calligrapher Claudio Gil.
